Hospitality Committee

Committee members are asked to help with a specific food/social event. Committee members volunteer to help with events that suit their schedules. Each event is unique, but all share common responsibilities of planning, purchasing supplies, arranging food, serving and cleaning up.

Newcomers Committee

The purpose of the Newcomer Committee is to help the Church of the Ascension to reach out to newcomers in the greater Munich area, to welcome and invite them into our church family and to support them as they become integrated into our community. Volunteers are needed to fulfill a variety of jobs including greeting new people, preparing a weekly bulletin board, organising materials for newcomers and simply helping new members to feel welcome.

Coffee Hour Helpers

The Coffee Hour Helpers prepare and serve coffee, tea, juice and snacks after the Sunday morning worship service to support our time for Christian fellowship.

Golden Girls

Who are we?

Led by Rev. Clair Ullmann who comes down from her mountain home in Austria to be with us, we are group of women who are over fifty (or practising to be so!)

What do we do?

We come together about once a month to sing, pray, ponder God’s plan for us, laugh, cry, share food and experiences and support each other in love as we all grow older.

Where do we meet?

Usually in the parish house.

Women’s Retreat

We always meet in the same room at Kloster Armstorf that is lovingly decorated.

Men’s Night Out

Check our calendar for our Men’s night out dates. Once a month the men of Ascension and their friends are invited to come together for fellowship and talk in a restaurant or beer garden. This is a particularly good way of meeting others in the Ascension community.
